Edwina Hawkridge Counselling in Stamford, & Harley Street, London

Supporting you to feel more in control, more at ease, and more like yourself again

You may be someone who appears to be coping on the outside, while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. Perhaps your thoughts feel constant and difficult to switch off, or your relationship with food and your body has become exhausting to manage. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step — but you don’t have to navigate this alone.

I am an experienced and accredited therapist offering private, confidential therapy in London and Stamford, specialising in anxiety, burnout, and eating disorders. My work is grounded in both professional expertise and a genuine commitment to helping you create meaningful, lasting change.

My Approach

I provide a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can feel understood and able to speak openly. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, alongside practical tools, to tailor our work to you as an individual.

Together, we will explore what’s underlying your current difficulties, while also developing strategies to help you feel more in control day to day. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, or challenges with eating and body image, therapy is focused not only on understanding, but on helping you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

“I felt understood from the very first session. The approach is both supportive and practical, which really helped me make real changes.”

My Specialism

I have a particular focus on:

  • Eating disorder therapy, including binge eating, anorexia, and body image concerns
  • Anxiety therapy in London, including high-functioning anxiety and chronic stress
  • Therapy for professionals, offering discreet, confidential support for those managing high levels of responsibility

As a Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity, I bring specialist knowledge to this area, combining psychological understanding with structured, practical support to guide you towards recovery.

“Working on my relationship with food has been life-changing. I feel more balanced, less consumed by food thoughts, and more comfortable in myself.”

Who I work with

Many of the people I work with are professionals who are used to coping independently, yet find themselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. You may be high-achieving, self-aware, and motivated for change — but unsure how to move forward.

I also support individuals who are struggling with their relationship with food, body image, or emotional wellbeing, offering a space where you can feel safe, understood, and supported without judgement. If this sounds like something you want, I have limited availability but feel free to contact me on 07784 105 769, or email: info@edwinahawkridgecounselling.com
